It's Just... A New Website

I've been running a website in one form or another for almost 2 years now. It has certainly been an iterative process, learning how to do things and then redoing them. Toward that end, this summer I began working on a revisioning of my old site offiicialhouseofrock.com. The result is: It's Just Humor.

Now this was a major undertaking; I had a LOT of things that I wanted to accomplish in making the new site. Some of those goals have been met, others are still in progress. But at the very least it does everything the old site did, and most of those things it does better. And as time allows, I am slowly adding in and refining the other stuff I want the site to do.

So please, give it a look, and let me know what you think.

Google is Grand, for Procrastination

Just a few wallpapers of hott chicks I've made in the past.

I saw today that Google had updated several of its offerings, so I figured I would play around with them. Docs & Spreadsheets looks pretty solid; I've been using the spreadsheets for months. And now they offer Web Albums, as you can see above. And lastly, I think there are some new features here on Blogger that I need to check out.

21 Years of Childish Antics

Well, now I'm an adult apparently. 21 years is the arbitrary age where I'm supposed to be able to make all my decisions with reason and logic (but not a day before if you reasonably wanted a beer). Funny thing is, I really rather enjoy being juvenile, and I've gotten pretty good at it over the years. The cartoons are better, there's more candy, and pretend-fighting ninjas will never get old.

So while I may hold a new liscense, I'm pretty sure that today is far less of a transition than it's cracked up to be (unless you are my wallet, in that case be prepared to being empty a lot more when I'm at bars).

Justin King and Other News

Last night was an incredible time; the band rocked, the people partied, and the cops came but left without knocking on our door. Pictures will be up soon on OHoR so check them out.

As I said before, the frontpage redesign on OHoR is nearly complete, so all new stuff should be going up on monday (barring disaster). And I am also working on a whole new store, for all your fashion needs.

So please please, tell a friend, tell an enemy, tell someone, and go yourself; just check out my websites.

Welcome to the Jimbonet

I have been working overtime on setting up a brand new website, as well as a restructuring of OHoR. I hope that soon all the infrastructure work will be done and I can focus again on outputting some content. I've also been asked to write for another website, so with all that on top of school and a job search (blogging doesn't exactly pay the bills) I have been pretty busy. Oh yea, and I've been doing work on the campground website as well.

Well, maybe I should spend some more time away from my computer.

Busy Busy Busy

The latest site redesign is complete, a bolder, brighter OHoR is what we have now. Should better suit the content we have in the works.

I went with Chris last night to visit his brother at QU, good times all around. The female thing (meaning that they have a ratio better than 5 guys to 1 girl like WPI) really isnt fair.

And I have 4 days left of this godforsaken term. It will all be over shortly, regardless of how messy it might get over the next few days. Then I am of to Europe. HELL YES! Just gotta close my eyes and power through this week.

Hooo-Wahhhh

2.20.2006

I'm doing another redesign. You know. Those things I do to kill a bunch of time.

You can see the progress here: http://www.officialhouseofrock.com/test.php

Should go live in a day or two, some minor things still to work out.

Midterm Madness

Well, it may be a decent indication that a test was unfair, or too difficult, when the class average is a 31% and the highest grade is a 66%. That's the case in my awesome ECE course. And now I'm working on my third 20+ page paper in the past 3 weeks, with two more creeping up on me. Mix in a pair of exams, a bunch of homework, and the management of three websites now, and I guess I might be justifiably tired.

I guess I could say the worst is over (I'd be lying). But at least there is new content on OHoR. From a brand new writer, Dan Heard. So things may be looking up (eventually). Now if I can find some time to sleep.

Fuck the Shit!

Well, these guys basically sum up everything I want to say today in one catchy, classic rock song. So that saves me some time, and saves you from having to read a lot of my bullshit.

Never Ceases to Amaze

Well I have come across the single most disturbing and disheartening piece of evidence of what life is like at WPI today. I swear this place is eating my soul.

In any case, at least its the weekend, so I can at least hide from reality for a few days.

1.21.2006

Bees?!... BEADS!

I am bored, and for the next 2 hours I have nothing to do but sit in an empty computer lab and make sure no one dares to eat in here. That's right, I have a new job. I am an official Lab Proctor. So on Saturday afternoon I drowsily stare at this monitor and wish I had remembered to even bring my homework with me.

In other news, with my newfound abundance of time, I am probably going to add some pictures to the Galleries and might even write a new Article. So check 'em out.

Homework?! What the hell is that?

Apparently I have forgotten what it was like to do school work, because at the moment I am stuggling to get back into the "swing" of things. I have put off doing my work since last Thursday, and I continue to do so now, by writing this, even though this first assignment is due tomorrow. It's not even a difficult assignment. It's the principle. I would rather put this off 'til the last possible moment.

So first I check my email (all 3 accounts), then my website, then Facebook, then I change the music, then I change my Wallpaper, check away messages, GorillaMask, CollegeHumor, SlashDot, and Penny Arcade(even though I read the new comic already), walk into the kitchen to stare sadly into my empty fridge, urinate, look back in the fridge to see if things have changed, pretend to fold my laundry heap (can't even fool myself), sit back down and start the whole cycle over.

Oh yea, and I post here.

I've Seen Better Games

So last nights performance by the Patriots was dismal. I was expecting the game to be at least close, but I don't know what happened. What I do know is that I could do without Shannon Sharpe ever speaking again. The guy is a moron. Though I wouldn't tell him that to his face.

Any way, here's a pretty sweet article about what we have to look forward to in 2006 (since another New England victory is out of the question).

And just because she's so hott, here's a wallpaper that I made of Jessica Alba.

1.14.2006

New Years Pics

I finally put up the pictures for New Years 2006 at H&H. Pretty damn good time if you ask me. The Gallery system is back up and running now, I upgraded and fixed everything that wasn't working right.

P.S. Chris sucks at poker, especially when he beats me.

Mission: Redemption

So Bill decided to document one of our everyday adventures in detail, and in poetry to top it off. You can enjoy it over there.

I started playing around with the look of this blog, but I have as yet not decided what exactly I will be talking about here. I would not like it to just be a lame LiveJournal thing, but who knows. Anywho, I got nothing else to say.

Except Boobies.

Boobies!

The Final Countdown

Last day of Winter Break. I am capitalizing fully by not wearing any pants. I should probably get some stuff down, but I won't. O yea, first new post on OHoR of 2006. Check it out. Then watch some Narnia.

1.10.2006

Too bored to sleep.

I might play around with the styling of this blog. I might not. I am debating whether to redesign OHOR again, although it probably won't accomplish anything. I've been playing around with some new layout tricks, but I might save them for my new project. I should have a whole new site up by March, which will allow me to do some new things. Mostly right now I am babbling to see if the background is repeating correctly on the sidebar over there --->

In anycase, the only thing that really tickled my fancy yesterday was Stephen Colbert's debate about torture.

1.09.2006

And so it starts...

This will mark the begining of my stupendous new blog. Actually, I have been blogging (sort of) at my own site (OfficialHouseofRock) for nearly a year. But that has taken on its own sort of feeling, and this should allow me a little bit of diversity. I suppose it doesn't matter much, I am mostly just talking to myself.
